Public Presentations
Did you know that the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association - Newfoundland and Labrador (CHHA-NL) has a Speakers' Bureau for hearing loss issues? This is an excellent opportunity for the hard of hearing, family members, professionals, social groups, etc. to become better informed about various topics related to hearing loss and/or prevention of hearing loss.
Why is Education Needed?
Over 3 million Canadians suffer from some form of hearing loss which is quickly becoming the number one disability in the country. Unfortunately, fifty percent of hearing loss is preventable.
Therefore, as part of our association’s ongoing education program we are pleased to offer presentations both at our Centre and in the community. Presentations are available on a variety of topics and are customized based on the needs of the audience.
